The Academy of Mixed Martial Science is truly unique among the industry. We are structured similar to a traditional martial arts school--with rankings and tests, structured classes, formal students-disciple relationships, teachings in honor, discipline, and humility, and internal arts such as meditation, yoga, fitness, and psychological preparation. However, our style is not the traditional hard-style Karate or soft-style Kung Fu, but rather the more modern system of Mixed Martial Arts, which incorporates traditions like Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Judo to culminate in a contemporary blend referred to as MMA. Hence, we are neither a traditional system nor are we a typical MMA gym. We are a unique combination of the two, aiming to teach the modern sport of full contact MMA through the structured and successful approach of tradition, respect, and devotion to self-mastery.
