The Art of Muay Thai

Thai Boxing (Muay Thai) is a form of kickboxing originating in Thailand, where it is the country's national sport. Traditional Muay Thai practiced today varies significantly from the ancient art muay boran and uses kicks and punches in a ring with gloves similar to those used in Western boxing.
Muay Thai is referred to as "The Art of Eight Limbs", using hands, shins, elbows, and knees as weapons. A practitioner of Muay Thai ("nak muay") thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight "points of contact," as opposed to "two points" (fists) in Western boxing and "four points" (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.

The Academy of Mixed Martial Science is a Mixed Martial Arts school and self-mastery center. It's Muay Thai program is headed by Kru Paulo Tocha, trainer of World Champions. More than a typical Muay Thai or MMA Gym, however, AMMS is a martial academy, similar to a private school.
Our Adult MMA & Muay Thai members become part of a tradition, a lineage, and a lifestyle, testing through several ranks and following a precise and intricately developed curriculum to not only develop the most well-rounded martial arts practitioners, but to develop more confident, thoughtful, and self-aware human beings.
